Who is behind Quand on Danse?

Portrait of Marie-Pierre Simonet

For Marie-Pierre Simonet, dance has always been a source of pleasure. A physical education teacher, psychomotor therapist, and ambassador for the Quand on Danse program, she grew up with the idea that moving makes you feel good.

“Ever since I was little, dancing has been synonymous with well-being,” she explains. Today, she passes on this sense of well-being in the workshops she runs at Groupe santé CHC's residences and in the wellness areas of the CHU de Liège and the CHC.

Her encounter with Quand on Danse

The Quand on Danse program entered her life “as if by magic,” just as she was looking to give new meaning to her professional practice. It was a perfect match: “I wanted to convey pleasure and happiness. And that's exactly what I experience through these workshops.”

For Marie-Pierre, teaching dance is not a job in the traditional sense. “When you love what you do, it never feels like work,” she says with a smile.

“For me, dance can be summed up in three words: pleasure, well-being, and sharing.”

Three words that, in her hands, become obvious.
