Who's behind Quand on Danse?

Portrait of Denis Niessen

Nous avons la chance de collaborer avec des danseurs·euses passionnés·ées qui partagent notre vision d’une danse inclusive, sensible et profondément humaine.

Today we introduce Denis Niessen, movement teacher, dance therapist and psycho-educational trainer, who embodies the very soul of the Quand on Danse project in each of his workshops.

Denis works with cancer sufferers at the CHU de Liège and the Hôpital de la Citadelle. His workshops are not about complex choreography, but about freedom, breathing, reconnection and gentle guidance through the physical and emotional storms that patients go through.

Through his approach, Denis conveys something precious: the idea that dance can be a tool for healing. Care for the body, of course, but also care for the soul, the bond, the way we look at ourselves. He invites everyone to explore what their bodies can still say, do and feel.

His work echoes what we stand for at Quand on Danse: dance belongs to everyone, it can exist anywhere - even (and especially) where we least expect it.

Thank you to Denis for his luminous presence and his commitment to making dance a lever for well-being, wherever he goes.

Denis Niessen propose régulièrement des formations, des ateliers ou encore des groupes thérapeutiques. Découvrez son parcours via ce lien :
