TRAIN IN DANCE FOR HEALTH

Transform your practice, enrich your knowledge and share well-being through dance

Dance is more than an art form: it is a universal language of the body and mind, a lever for health, inclusion and well-being. Whether you are an enthusiast, a dance professional or a healthcare worker, our training courses allow you to explore this approach, acquire practical tools and transform your practice.

Our training areas

Dance and people with disabilities

Working with people with a variety of needs — motor, sensory or cognitive — requires solid guidelines and a careful approach. Our inclusive dance courses give you concrete tools to transform every movement into a space for expression, connection and freedom. You will learn how to guide accurately, adapt movements and create accessible sequences to promote confidence, autonomy and the joy of movement in each participant.

'A very enriching experience with opportunities for discussion between candidates and practical application with motivated participants! The trainer was fascinating! I can't wait to try other courses.'

Andora Vidal
Teacher and participant in the ’adapted and inclusive dance' exchange and practice days

Dance and seniors

Dance for seniors gently stimulates both the body and the mind. You will discover how to develop simple, adapted movements that improve balance, posture and coordination, while bringing energy and enjoyment. Each session becomes a lively moment where dance nourishes vitality and collective joy, regardless of the age of the participants.

‘During the workshops, we saw physical improvements such as greater joint mobility and fewer complaints of pain. In terms of behaviour, we noticed more smiles, less shouting, less crying, and more relaxed faces and bodies.’

Dr Laure Remy
Coordinating physician at the CHC Heusy nursing home.

Dance and people affected by cancer

In this particular context, dance supports the body and mind throughout the care process. You learn to offer respectful and fluid sequences, combining light movements, conscious breathing and physical expression. These moments allow you to regain energy, restore confidence and reduce stress, while providing a space for well-being and sharing.

‘I felt supported and threw myself into a workshop that was very different from my usual activities, and it did me good. It broadened my horizons.’

 Jeannine
Participant in the Dance in Cancer Care training workshop

Dance and neurodegenerative diseases

Would you like to discover how dance can stimulate motor skills, coordination and memory in people with neurodegenerative diseases? Our training courses provide you with concrete methods for designing progressive and repetitive sequences that build confidence and promote physical expression. The Dance & Parkinson's training courses are organised in collaboration with DaPoPa France and Care to Dance®, an adapted dance programme founded and directed by Maité Guérin and Dr Olivier Bouquiaux, a neurologist. Care to Dance holds the Dance for PD licence and is a Benelux initiative of the non-profit organisation Fit Your Mind®.

'During this workshop at the Alzheimer Café, participants and carers had a wonderful afternoon. The workshop allowed them to forget for a moment the disease and the difficulties it causes.'

 Marie-Hélène Mond-Gural
Organiser of the Alzheimer Café in Eupen
