Dance and Seniors

Dance Workshops at CHC Residence in Hermalle-sous-Argenteau (April 2023)

The year 2023 was dedicated to exploring the connections that can be woven between dance and the elderly. Dance, like any other physical activity, offers numerous benefits, both cognitive and physical. It also plays a role in preventing disorders, particularly neurodegenerative ones, and symptoms associated with aging. Lastly, it helps break isolation and regain a sense of autonomy.

In view of the enthusiasm encountered, we are perpetuating these initiatives and organizing, once again in 2024, activities specifically designed for our seniors, particularly in nursing homes.

These activities and initiatives, which we consider essential, are primarily organized based on donations, and their sustainability depends on it. If you would like to make a donation to Quand on Danse, please note that it is tax-deductible starting from 40 euros. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

In 2024, we are still looking for dance instructors (M/F) for our adapted dance classes and activities (aimed at the elderly, people with disabilities, or those affected by a serious illness). If our project interests you and you would like to add an extra dimension to your practice, please send us an updated curriculum vitae and a letter of motivation to the address hello@quand-on-danse.org.
